Why Your Dallas Event Photography Questionnaire Matters
Once you officially book with JWCannon Creative, you get a link to your formal estimate, your invoice and a very very important questionnaire.
I LOVE the questionnaire. If you’re wondering who is speaking in this blog post, allow me to introduce myself: I’m the studio manager, Caroline. If you’re a potential client or current client for either our Dallas event photography or Dallas headshot photography, you’ll hear from me in the days/weeks/sometimes months leading up to your event. I am behind the scenes, no camera in hand. The organizer or the show, or at least that’s how I view myself anyway.
When a quote request comes to my email, I typically get a little information from the client. But this initial information is fairly black and white, very basic. Start time, end time, location, a few basics about what the event is. But once a client accepts the quote and signs the contract, I get my favorite email ding of the day: Questionnaire Complete!
The black and white turns to an array of color. I get a snapshot of the upcoming event, as told by the people who are so carefully and attentively planning it. They tell the story of what’s coming up. AND I LOVE IT.
There’s nothing better than opening a questionnaire and thinking…
“Wow! That’s an event I’d love to go to!”
“Emmitt Smith is going to be there? A Dallas icon!? No way!”
“What a beautiful celebration this is going to be!”
Yes, I’ve thought all those things and so much more! Event questionnaires help me prepare our Dallas event photography team for the many things coming their way. It helps us ensure that we get the shots you want because we know what’s coming and when.
When you fill out your questionnaires for event photography in Dallas, here are my tips and tricks:
Be thorough. In this instance, oversharing is a good thing. Giving thorough information helps us know what to expect and be prepared. Simultaneously, we can make recommendations based on our experience.
Hit the high notes. If Emmitt Smith is in fact coming to your event… tell us! Our Dallas event photographers will be ready to get the shots you want, especially when it comes to high profile attendees.
Want a specific shot? Tell us! You’ve planned the event. You know the purpose and end goals. You know the details. We want to capture what matters most, so letting us know “hey, I want a shot of the board members with so-and-so” is very helpful!
When you book with us, be sure to fill out your questionnaire. And you can picture me getting all excited to receive your answers… because I will be!
